Arnold Biber from Switzerland founds a dental laboratory in Pforzheim where he produces dental constructions. With great dedication, he devotes his time to the development of innovative dental materials and puts his skills as a practicing dentist to use.

Following the premature death of Arnold Biber, Dr. Fritz Winkelstroeter takes over the company, marking the beginning of a new era. For the first time, the company manufactures complete dental practice fittings, dental chairs, drills and instrument cabinets.

The Arnold Biber prize is awarded for the first time. In the decades that follow, the prize is awarded annually for unpublished, excellent scientific papers in the fields of dental prosthetics and dentistry.

Precision engineering manufacture and chemical production operate under the name Dentaurum – previously Arnold Biber. From September 26-30, 1923, the company takes part in the first International Dental Show (IDS) in Berlin and presents its products to trade specialists.

Hans-Peter Winkelstroeter und Liselotte Winkelstroeter take over management of the company and lead Dentaurum through challenging times. During this time, the idea of the non-precious dental alloy, Remanit, now known as remanium^®, arises.

On January 21, 1945, the company building is destroyed by an air raid. Production continues on a temporary basis and reconstruction after the war begins with 29 employees.

The premises in Hohenzollernstraße soon become too cramped. The company moves to its own building in Bayernstraße in 1953,  extending it over the following years.

With the introduction of Orthocryl^®, a new chapter is opened in the world of removable orthodontic appliances. To this day, the salt-and-pepper technique is the dominant procedure for the production of dental braces.

Jochen Peter Winkelstroeter takes over management of the company and leads it into the future with visionary power. At the same time, a new, modern building for production, research and administration is built in Ispringen.

Mark Stephen Pace und Axel Winkelstroeter join the management team. The foundation stone is laid for the new training center, CDC, and building begins.

The implant division with the TIOLOX^® implant system of the company Cerasiv and the company Sofraced S.r.l., a well-known manufacturer of dental ceramics in France, are purchased.

The new administration and logistics building with a fully-automated small parts store for more than 8,100 containers is put into operation – a step towards greater efficiency and future sustainability.

Claudia Stöhrle and Ralph Dittes reinforce the company management – with experience, competence and passion.

Planned inauguration of the new company building in Turnstraße 36. The building unites modern functionality with sustainability: a photovoltaic system and green roofs generate around 150,000 kWh green energy per year.
