remanium® star and rematitan® powder
Time-tested, universal dental alloys in powder form
Released: 21.09.2021
In the laser melting process, metals in powder form are locally melted by a high-energy laser beam with a high energy density. The construction of the components in dental prosthetics and in orthodontics takes place layer by layer. The experience gained over decades in powder metallurgy has been incorporated into the development of this extremely fine powder. 3D printing for both acrylics and metals is becoming an increasingly important part of the technical world.
The entire range of dental applications can be covered with the laser melting process. This material with a dense structure and a very good ceramic adhesion is suitable for the crown and bridge technique. When used for cast partial dentures, this powder gives clasp constructions an elasticity that is scientifically proven. This suitability applies equally to constructions made of CoCr (remanium® star powder) and of titanium (rematitan® powder).
A perfectly matched selection of grain sizes guarantees dense and almost distortion-free, laser-melted constructions. A simple and very cost-efficient heat treatment helps avoid tensions and achieve accurately fitting prosthetic restorations. Dentaurum has many years of experience in alloy manufacturing. This has facilitated the transition from casting to machining technology and, currently, the increased use of additive manufacturing techniques.
