With discovery® smart sl, Dentaurum is extending its globally successful premium bracket family discovery® with a solution that is future-oriented: a passive self-ligating bracket that impresses with its smart handling, high material quality and reliable function. The lid can easily be opened by an intuitive turn with the specially developed opening instrument.
#CLICK&GO – Easy. Fast. Intuitive.
Thanks to the easy opening and closing mechanism, the lid can be easily closed by pushing it from incisal to occlusal. A perceptible "CLICK" signals that the lid is in place – "GO" stands for the quick archwire change and the significantly reduced chair time.
Gentle tooth movements and a high level of patient comfort
The passive low friction bracket minimizes friction and controls forces, resulting in efficient, gentle tooth movement. The low profile and the rounded surfaces make it comfortable to wear.
Made in Germany – precision from the northern Black Forest
discovery® smart sl is manufactured using the precise MIM process at Dentaurum's headquarters in Ispringen. The bracket combines proven strengths - such as the patented laser-structured base with FDI notation for easy handling, optimized wing design and anatomically formed brackets base - with new features for a high level of safety and precise rotation control.
As if from a single mold – for high biocompatibility
discovery® smart sl is a three-piece bracket and is biocompatible as no solder is used. This is possible thanks to the patented laser-structured base and the hooks which are manufactured in one piece together with the bracket and directly moulded.
Cleverly packed – hygienic blister packaging
Since 2018, customers have been able to order discovery® smart brackets in hygienic blister packaging. The discovery® smart sl brackets also undergo an extensive cleaning process consisting of up to seven steps. In an automated process, high-precision robots place the brackets in the blister in the correct position according to their FDI notation. They are then hygienically sealed with two layers of foil.
