European Orthodontics Society Congress 2026 in Dublin

Following last year’s especially memorable anniversary event, the annual EOS Congress (European Orthodontic Society) was held in Dublin for the 101st time from June 7 to 11. Each year, the event brings together orthodontists from across Europe. The Dentaurum Clinical Pearl Award was also presented for the third consecutive year as part of the congress, celebrating emerging talent at the Annual Meeting of the EPSOS Society.

Driving research and development – Dentaurum as a recognized supporter of scientific award
Dentaurum is especially committed to actively supporting dental research – particularly by sponsoring scientific awards. Accolades such as the 'Arnold Biber Award' and the 'Hans-Peter Bantleon Advancement Award' have become widely recognized in the industry over recent decades. The 'Dentaurum Clinical Pearl Award,' which honors the dental professionals of tomorrow, has also been very well received since its inception in 2024.

The EPSOS Society – Europe’s largest orthodontic society for orthodontists in training – always holds its annual meeting during the EOS Congress. This year's focus was on 'Redefining Perfection' and explored the extent to which clinical excellence does not necessarily align with the aesthetic ideals promoted on social media. After several presentations, including a lecture by Naeem Adam (Leeds Dental Institute UK) on 'The Madness of Millimetres – What is perfect in Orthodontics?' featuring clinical applications of the tomas® Pin from Dentaurum, the winner of the 'Dentaurum Clinical Pearl Award' was finally announced.

The work of Miguel Pérez Ramírez (University of Valencia, Spain), entitled 'Clockwise Maxillary Rotation During Distalization and Intrusion with Retromolar TADs: Balancing Open Bite Correction and Facial Esthetics', impressed the EPSOS committee the most. In recognition of his achievement, the award winner received a certificate and complimentary admission to the international seminar on the tomas® anchoring system from Dentaurum, organized by Dr. Fady Hussein Fahim.

140 Years of Dentaurum: A success story driven by product innovation
In addition to its role as award sponsor, Dentaurum also exhibited at the congress. Visitors to the booth had the chance to find out about products such as the discovery® smart sl self-ligating bracket and the Premium-Line pliers, renowned for their exceptional durability.

In addition, Dentaurum offered insights into its digital portfolio, presenting the Bender II – the second generation of YOAT’s computer-controlled wire-bending machine – as well as samples of the prime4me® retainer made of high-quality grade 5 titanium.

Finally, the event also provided an opportunity to highlight a significant milestone: 140 years of Dentaurum. The Ispringen-based company, the world’s oldest continuously operating dental company, is proudly celebrating this anniversary. Since its beginnings in the dental industry, Dentaurum has stood for continuity and innovation, demonstrating to this day how technological progress and sustainable practices can be successfully combined.
