Laser technology is state-of-the-art in daily laboratory work. For more than 30 years, the name Dentaurum has stood for know-how and competence in the field of laser joints using laser welding units. A new attractive starter model has now been added to the Dentaurum portfolio – the Laser Welder SL10.

Its welding power has been optimized to suit the welding tasks in the field of dentistry, in particular orthodontics. The unit is therefore ideal for smaller dental laboratories and orthodontic practices. The Laser Welder SL10 offers a cost-efficient way to enter into the world of laser welding.

It is designed as a desktop device and offers excellent value for money. One striking feature is the color camera that transfers the results of the weld onto a large color touch display. The welding parameters can be easily set either via the touch panel or directly via a joystick on the unit. The entrance to the working chamber is large, enabling users to join different appliances in a variety of ways, always in an argon atmosphere.

In the everyday working situation, it is of great advantage that much time and material can be saved when repairing orthodontic appliances, e.g. broken clasps or labial bows. As the energy supply can be controlled, it is even possible to laser directly on plaster or on the plastic model, including laser welding very thin parts to thicker objects. Indications such as tubes on plates or on hooks are particularly easy to achieve.

Precision work is also possible for the dental technician by setting individual parameters for prosthetic appliances. Since no additional filler material is needed, the welded joints are biocompatible.
