International Orthodontic Workshop 2019 in Antalya

Following the success last year in Istanbul, Dentaurum will be carrying out a further International Orthodontic Workshop in October 2019, again in Turkey. The idyllic city of Antalya, situated on the Mediterranean coast, is this year's location. From 18 to 19 October 2019, four international speakers will impart their knowledge on skeletally anchored appliances for distalization and palatal expansion, both theoretically and practically.
Four renowned speakers will be combining their expert knowledge and will be working closely with the participants. Dr. Sebastian Baumgaertel has his own orthodontic office in Cleveland, USA and serves as Director of the subspeciality clinic for skeletal anchorage and as instructor of the orthodontic biomechanics course at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Dr. Kazuto Kuroe is Director of the Orthodontic Clinic in Kagoshima, Japan. During his professional career, he taught and carried out research at the Kagoshima University Dental School. The third speaker is Professor Fahad Alsulaimani from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He is head of the orthodontics department in the Faculty of Dentistry at King Abzulaziz University in Jeddah. We are also delighted that Professor Dr. Moschos A. Papadopoulos from Thessaloniki in Greece will be joining us as a speaker. He is head of the orthodontics department at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
A variety of topics on TADs
The TAD experts will talk about their experiences with skeletally anchored appliances, using them for example for distalization and palatal expansion. The products for these appliances, such as the tomas® system, the distalization appliance amda® and the well-known hyrax® expansion screws will also play a role. Case studies will serve to show the efficiency and the advantages of each kind of treatment. Participants will also learn the clinical procedure for orthognathic cases. Talks will be followed by hands-on workshops where theoretical knowledge can be put to work in practice. Participants will work in small teams so that all questions can be answered adequately. The course will be held in English.
