1) Lid stop

The flexible lid stop between the gingival wings of the bracket keeps the lid open during archwire change. The lid cannot close by itself.

2) Opening mechanism

The lid of discovery sl^® 2.0 is opened using a special opening instrument. The lid opens very easily in the direction of force using a slight rotary movement of the instrument.
