Dr. Sebastian Baumgaertel

Dr. Baumgaertel has lectured worldwide on various orthodontic topics including orthodontic mini-implants and cone beam computed tomography. He has published multiple scientific articles and acts as a reviewer for a number of high-profile journals (e. g. American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics). Additionally, he is author and co-editor of two textbooks.

Dr. Baumgaertel is a Clinical Associate Professor at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, where he serves as Director of the subspecialty clinic for skeletal anchorage and instructor of the orthodontic biomechanics course. Dr. Baumgaertel also maintains an active private practice in the Cleveland, OH area. In addition, he is a Visiting Professor at the University of Melbourne, Australia.

Dr. Papadopoulos is Professor, Chairman and Program Director at the Department of Orthodontics of the School of Dentistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, President of the Orthodontic Society of Northern Greece, and Honorary Editor of the “Hellenic Orthodontic Review“. He has served as a Member of the Editorial Board of 17 peer reviewed journals, and as Referee of 39 orthodontic, dental and medical journals. He received several awards and distinctions, among others the “Joseph E. Johnson Clinical Award“ and the “Turpin Award for Evidence-Based Research“ from the AAO, and he is also the inventor of amda®. Dr. Papadopoulos has written the books “Orthodontic treatment for the Class II non-compliant patient“, “Skeletal anchorage in orthodontic treatment of Class II malocclusion“, and “Cleft lip and palate: Diagnosis and treatment management“, has published more than 190 scientific publications, and has presented more than 310 lectures, courses and papers worldwide.

Event conditions

Alteration / cancellation:

Should Dentaurum deem it necessary to cancel an event, participants will be informed at the latest 14 days before the date of the event. In this case Dentaurum will reimburse the participation fee if it has already been paid. However, the company is not liable for the reimbursement of further costs that may have been incurred, such as travel and hotel costs.

Dentaurum is not obliged to offer participants an alternative date for the event.

The participants shall receive reimbursement of the course fee if Dentaurum receives a written notification that the participant cannot attend latest on August, 31st 2019. Should the afore-said notification arrives at a later stage the participant may name a replacement participant. In this case, however, it is not possible to claim reimbursement of the participation fee.


Program changes

Dentaurum cannot assume any liability for any changes to the program and have the right to change the program without any notice at any time.


In general the event organizers shall only be liable for the participants in case of gross negligence or willful misconduct in their performance of their obligations under the event agreement. The event organizers shall accept no responsibility or liability for events such as accidents, thefts or losses of property, etc. and the participants are responsible for their own insurance


Photography release

We would like to inform you that during this event pictures will be taken which might be used for corporate press releases, on our Dentaurum homepage, on corporate social media sites or in our newsletter.
With your registration you grant Dentaurum the permission to publish these pictures on the above mentioned platforms. Should you prefer to not grant this permission, we kindly ask you to previously inform the photographer and to mention this in your registration.
