Tiolox Implants plays host to the world
Innovations in Implant Dentistry at the CDC
At the Centre for Dental Communication (CDC), the training centre run by the Dentaurum Group in Ispringen, Tiolox Implants held its "International Training Course" for the 7th
time. The special topic of this successful training event was surgical and prosthetic innovations in implant dentistry. Over 50 implant dentists from six countries attended this international meeting.
The course participants were offered an attractive blend of active workshops with practical exercises for the latest surgical techniques, scientific presentations, live operations and a friendly exchange of experiences between colleagues. As in previous years the level of interest in this practice-related seminar was extremely high. However, the number of participants was intentionally restricted in order to make sure that each participant received optimal support from the speakers.
After the opening of the "International Training Course" by Esther Taszus, Export Manager Implant Dentistry, Tobias Grosse, Sales Manager Tiolox Implants, provided information about the high-stability temporary osteogenetic material NanoBone®. The presentation on the subject of tomas® (temporary orthodontic micro anchorage system) by Klaus Wigger, Sales Manager at Dentaurum, pointed to the fact that this patient-friendly product offers a good opportunity to expand the range of services rendered in oral and maxillofacial practices and in dental practices.
Dr. Manfred Sontheimer from Issing gave plenty of valuable tips gained from over 20 years of implant dentistry experience in a private practice, plus basic information on implant dentistry – specifically using the TIOLOX Implant System®. In parallel, dental technicians and interested dentists were able to obtain information about prosthetic procedure with the user-friendly TIOLOX Implant System®. Florian Loos, Master Dental Technician and staff member of the Dentaurum Group, gave the participants many dental technology tips. At a get-together in the evening there were long and plentiful "international" discussions about participants' own experiences in implant dentistry.
On the following day of further training Dr. Sontheimer performed two live operations on the subject of "Aesthetic Single Tooth Management and Sinus Lifting", which was shown on a large projection screen in the auditorium. The aim of these operations was to point out important aspects of an implantation in the aesthetically sensitive anterior tooth area which lead to optimum results. Furthermore, it was explained that implants can still be managed optimally in prosthetic and aesthetic terms even if there is minimal bone available.
The agenda was concluded with the topic of "Immediate Loading". In his presentation Dr. Sontheimer drew special attention to the fact that important requirements must be met in order to provide implants with prostheses immediately. His own practice cases served to illustrate his statement again. The ensuing workshop gave participants an opportunity to put the knowledge gained into practice.
The highly positive response from course participants to these two days of highly informative, practical and scientifically sound training confirms the course concept of Tiolox Implants: scientific research in direct combination with practical implementation leads to successful and interesting further training which is recognised worldwide.
