Dentaurum inspires participants with its 2nd Orthodontic Symposium in Salzburg, Austria

Varied and exciting as a successful symbiosis of academic value and relevance to practice – with constructive discussions and personal conversations Dentaurum had also achieved the seemingly impossible with the 2nd Orthodontic Symposium for over 200 participants. Virtually all senior managers of orthodontic hospitals in German-speaking countries came together in a meeting of superlatives before fascinating Salzburg scenery on 8 and 9 May in the Castellani Parkhotel and under the humorous direction of Prof. Dr. Adriano Crismani (Innsbruck, Austria).

A variety of topics at the highest level
All speakers were free to choose their topic, so that a wide array was on offer ranging from skeletal anchorage, Class III treatment to laboratory scanners, aligners, rapid maxillary expansion and the lingual technique. What was initially intended as a “one-off event” on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the company in 2011, now again delighted the audience and speakers thanks to the personal involvement of the Pace and Winkelstroeter families as well as all employees. This is part of the “traditional multi-dimensional approach to quality of the Dentaurum Group, which not only applies to products but also for the provision of services”, commented CEO Mark S. Pace.

Dentaurum opens its heart
Instead of exclusive gifts for the guests, Mark Pace and Axel Winkelstroeter presented a visibly moved Prof. Dr. Stellzig-Eisenhauer with a generous donation to the sum of 10,000 euros plus material to a goods value of a further 10,000 euros for the Deutsch-Vietnamesische Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Medizin in Vietnam e.V. (German-Vietnam Medical Support Association, Deviemed). Using impressive pictures from Da Nang in mid-Vietnam, Prof. Dr. Stellzig-Eisenhauer described the requirements and development of an interdisciplinary special clinic in which sustainable operations, also beyond purely lip closures, are expertly performed and orthodontic treatment is carried out. Vietnamese colleagues, from nurse to doctor, can also be educated and trained in the clinic.

Unique atmosphere in Castle Hellbrunn
The Gala dinner in the magnificent rooms of the Hellbrunn Pleasure Palace, built in the early 17th Century with enchanting Italian-style gardens, was an unforgettable highlight. To round off the menu with regional delicacies there was a successful dessert buffet amidst the atmospheric, illuminated trick fountains.
