Dentaurum Implants: 20 years of success with continuing education programs

Implantology Symposiums 2015 in Bonn, Lübeck and Thuringia

Dentaurum Implants: 20 years of success with continuing education programs

Specialized in high-quality implant systems, Dentaurum Implants celebrates a double anniversary this year: Both the company and its continuing education program for implantology have been successful in the market for 20 years. Having started out in 1995 with continuing education programs consisting of modules, Dentaurum Implants offers today diverse course series and conferences in cooperation with renowned universities as well as national and international user conferences. Building on this success, the affiliate of the Dentaurum Group will be organizing, for the first time, implantology symposiums in Thuringia and Bonn in September 2015. The next international user conference is planned for 2016.

"Dentaurum Implants offers implantologists a customer-oriented, high quality continuing education program that provides users with the safety and know-how required for the handling of implants" underlines Mark Stephen Pace, CEO of the Dentaurum Group. In the course of its existence, Dentaurum Implants has achieved good visibility through numerous innovations. Success has always been built on two pillars: first-rate products and well-conceived continuing education concepts.

Current educational concept
As early as 1995, Dentaurum introduced coordinated modular courses: from beginner courses to anatomy courses over incision and suture techniques. Workshops with hands-on sessions on study models belonged to a standard course. In 1996, over 100 training courses had already taken place. Even with regard to innovative transmission technologies, Dentaurum belonged to the pioneers when the first live transmission with a video conference between two venues took place in November 1997 in Germany. To this day, the company has always adapted and expanded its continuing education concept to current conditions in order to keep abreast with market demands. Meanwhile, over 10 anatomical courses are offered in collaboration with renowned universities across Germany and all are regularly fully booked. The limited number of course participants ensures optimal service and knowledge transfer. Instructors are always made up of a specialist for anatomy and a specialist for implantology.

Implantology in everyday practice
Other continuing education opportunities are the series of courses in implantology that Dentaurum Implants offers together with the University of Lübeck, Germany. These courses provide participants with the know-how required for the integration of implantology in their everyday practice. Always up-to-date and of great relevance are also the topics dealt with in the implantology symposium at the University of Lübeck since 2008. More than 1000 participants were able to convince themselves of the unique spectrum of topics and practical orientation of the course series. Building on this success, implantology symposiums will also take place in 2015 in Bonn und Thuringia for the first time.

Highly specialized speakers
For the conception and conduct of training courses, Dentaurum Implants resort to highly specialized speakers and experienced in-house course management staff. Some speakers have been working for the company for 20 years and are thus valuable partners for the elaboration of new concepts such as online seminars. The training courses are of high quality and enjoy large acceptance. This is confirmed by the consistently high number of participants and good ratings. Average scores awarded by the participants range between 1.41 in 2003 and 1.22 in 2014 at a constantly high level (grading scale 1 = very good to 5 = unsatisfactory).

User conference - national and international
National and international user conferences organized by Dentaurum Implants at the headquarters in Ispringen as well as Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Munich and Berlin are also very well received. Current topics in the field of implantology, top-class speakers, workshops and an attractive program define the contents of these user conferences and attract a lot of participants. Like the anniversary congress that was successfully held in Malta in 2011, Dentaurum Implants will be organizing a big international user conference in 2016 in Berlin.
